I. Application Areas

1. Pipe and Cable Protection

Cable routing and protection: Used as conduit or protective sleeve for wires and cables, especially suitable for scenarios requiring later addition or removal of cables (such as building wiring and internal equipment wiring). The open design allows for quick cable insertion without threading from the ends, significantly improving construction efficiency.

Pipe insulation and protection: Used for outer layer protection or insulation wrapping of hot water pipes and heating pipes. The aluminum layer provides heat insulation and moisture resistance, the plastic layer enhances flexibility, and the open design facilitates fitting pipes of different diameters.

2. Electronic and Electrical Equipment

Internal wiring harness management: Used in equipment such as routers, servers, and industrial control cabinets to bundle and secure internal wiring harnesses. The open design allows for easy adjustment of wiring harness layout, the aluminum layer assists in heat dissipation, and the plastic layer prevents wiring harness wear.

Interface and edge protection: Used as edge and interface protection for electronic equipment casings, such as the edges of wiring holes on instrument panels. The aluminum-plastic composite structure is both scratch-resistant and insulating, and the open design adapts to different specifications of plugs or cables.

3. Automotive and Rail Transit

In-vehicle wiring harness fixing and protection: Used in the internal wiring layout of automobiles and subways to fix scattered wiring harnesses and prevent wear caused by vibration. The open design facilitates disassembly and assembly of wiring harnesses during later maintenance.

Piping wrapping and insulation: Used for outer layer protection of oil and gas pipes in the engine compartment. The aluminum layer reflects heat and is high-temperature resistant, the plastic layer is insulating and anti-aging, and the open design facilitates quick wrapping of irregularly shaped pipes.

II. Advantages

1. Complementary Material Properties, Balanced Performance

Advantages of the aluminum layer: Possesses good rigidity, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity, improving the overall strength of the product.  Surface treatment (such as anodizing) can also enhance aesthetics and weather resistance.

Advantages of the plastic layer: Usually made of PE, PVC, or other materials, it has flexibility, insulation, and wear resistance, preventing friction and noise with contacting parts, while also reducing costs.

2. Convenience Provided by the Open Design

Efficient installation: No need to disassemble the ends or thread through the entire length; cables, pipes, etc., can be directly "clipped in" through the opening. This is especially suitable for confined spaces or scenarios requiring later maintenance, significantly saving working hours. High adaptability: The opening has a certain degree of elasticity (due to the flexibility of the plastic layer), allowing it to adapt to objects slightly larger than its own diameter, reducing the requirements for installation size accuracy and minimizing problems caused by assembly errors.

3. Outstanding protective performance

Multiple protection: The aluminum layer blocks moisture and dust intrusion, while the plastic layer cushions vibrations and prevents scratches, jointly protecting internal cables or pipes from external environmental damage.

Good environmental adaptability: Resistant to high and low temperatures (common range from -40℃ to 80℃) and UV aging, suitable for various indoor and outdoor scenarios, with a longer service life than pure plastic or pure metal components.

4. Cost and economic advantages

The aluminum-plastic composite structure is less expensive than all-metal components and lighter in weight (reducing transportation and installation burden); compared to pure plastic components, it offers superior strength and durability, resulting in high overall cost-effectiveness.
