Fish-eye rod end bearings, also known as spherical rod end bearings or rod end joint bearings, are a type of spherical bearing.

- Structural characteristics: They typically consist of an inner ring with an outer spherical surface and an outer ring with an inner spherical surface. The outer spherical surface matches the shape of the inner ring's groove, and a special lubricant is filled between the two to reduce friction.

- Types:  They can be classified into internal thread series (such as SIG) and external thread series (such as SAG) according to the connection method; and into various types such as tapered, threaded, spring, hinged, and locking types according to their structural characteristics.

- Working principle: Utilizing the design of a spherical bearing, it allows for free rotation and oscillation in multiple directions, easily accommodating a certain degree of angular deviation. It can self-align within a certain range and adapt to loads in different directions and complex motion conditions.

- Performance characteristics: They have a large load capacity and impact resistance, and feature corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-alignment, good lubrication or self-lubrication without lubricant contamination, and can function normally even with misalignment during installation.

- Application areas: Widely used in automotive suspension systems and steering systems, construction machinery such as excavators and cranes, automation equipment such as robots and production lines, as well as aerospace, medical equipment, and fitness equipment.
