During operation, the basic external conditions of the bearing, such as temperature, vibration, and noise, should be monitored regularly. These regular checks will help detect potential problems early, prevent unexpected machine downtime, ensure production schedules are met, and improve factory productivity and efficiency.

During operation, bearings require proper relubrication and optimal performance. Micro-bearing lubrication is divided into grease lubrication and oil lubrication. To ensure the bearing functions fully, it is essential to select a lubrication method suitable for the operating conditions and purpose. While oil lubrication offers superior lubrication properties, grease lubrication simplifies the surrounding bearing structure.

Bearing precision grades start from grade 0 and increase sequentially. Grade 0 is sufficient for general purposes, but grade 5 or higher precision is required for the conditions or applications shown in Table 1.

Although the above precision grades are based on ISO standards, their names vary in different countries.

A comparison of precision grades and national standards applicable to various bearing types is provided.

Dimensional Accuracy (Items related to shaft and housing mounting)

1. Allowable deviations of inner diameter, outer diameter, width, and assembly width.

2. Allowable deviations of the inner and outer circumscribed diameters of the roller assembly.

3. Allowable limits for chamfer dimensions.

4. Allowable variations in width.

Rotational Accuracy (Items related to rotating body runout)

1. Allowable radial and axial runout of the inner and outer rings.

2. Allowable lateral runout of the inner ring.

3. Allowable variation in the inclination of the outer diameter surface.

4. Allowable variation in the raceway thickness of thrust bearings.

There are many sizes and types of standard bearings. It is best to use standard bearings in the design of mechanical devices (this is for ease of purchase; as an aside, while some bearing models are readily available, some non-standard bearings are not in stock in mainland China, and lead times can be very long. Therefore, when selecting bearings, consider time costs and future replacement costs). Bearing load: The nature, size, and direction of the load applied to the bearing are variable. Usually, the size table shows the rated basic load. However, axial and radial loads are also important factors in selecting the appropriate bearing. When the ball and needle roller bearings are of the same size, needle roller bearings generally have a higher load capacity and can withstand greater vibration and shock loads.
